The first starred Peter Parker in 2018, followed by Miles Morales-led spin-off alongside the 2020 launch of the PS5. Insomniac Games has already released two acclaimed PlayStation-exclusive Spider-Man games over the last five years. Aided by Ganke Lee's remote controlled Hunter drone, the two chase the hunters and Lizard around Manhattan.Marvel's Spider-Man 2 received a release date update from Tony Todd - the actor who will bring Venom to life in the upcoming PS5 game. When he is unable to reach him in time, Miles Morales takes over to attempt to help. Six months later, Peter Parker, in Queens, is in a Venom suit on the hunt for the Lizard, to try to save him from Kraven, in order to save Harry Osborn from dying. The trailer released on May 24th shows an introduction with Kraven the Hunter and a group of hunters as they choose Manhattan as their next hunting ground.
Six months prior to the events of the game, Kraven explored different hunting targets, before deciding that he could find many in Manhattan, seeing Black Cat, Kingpin, Prowler, Shocker, Wraith, Tombstone and Taskmaster. Kraven the Hunter is a major villain in the game. Miles has access to new gadgets, including a gadget that can create a web to tightrope across, and a mine that can pull at least three enemies toward it at once, taking out multiple enemies at a time. Additionally, both of their suits now have "Web Wings", which allow them to glide through the city. The ability to propel forward by using webs as a slingshot allows Peter and Miles to travel faster through the city. Traversal mechanics have been expanded since the original Marvel's Spider-Man.
